The village consists of 150 units composed of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments. It includes a main piazza with its Cultural and social spaces, a club with sport fields and amenities, a nursery, a small market, etc... The project is inspired from the traditional Lebanese Villages characterized by their cascading architecture and roof terraces, the whole transposed in a contemporary architectural language.

The project is genuinely sustainable through the integration of passive design features in the architecture such as the orientation and sunshine, the ventilation and cross ventilation, the integrated winter gardens, the roof gardens, the integrated shading and sun control, etc... not only for each and every dwelling, but also for the entire village that funnels the elements of nature, and contributes to the pleasant spirit of the scheme.

The main idea of the project focuses on all the elements cited above and how to seamlessly integrate them in the site. As such, any one level curve of the land is extended or offset to become a dwelling or a series of dwellings, then to re-become the level curve it originally was.

The project takes full advantage of the land characteristics and natural morphology in the display of functions. For instance, the piazza and all the common equipment of the project are located in the heart of the land along the natural spine of the site and clears the views to the outstanding monolithic standalone stones existing on site.

The typical layouts of all apartment types and sizes are designed according to a simple structural grid, and offer ultimate flexibility for infinite combinations and subtle superposition despite their dynamic forms...

The project is also studied to minimize the use of cars inside the village, while naturally privileging pedestrians and encouraging them to wander through the versatile paths of the project, once shaded, once exposed.
