Located in the heart of Byblos City, the parcel lays few meters away from the Historical Site. The Boutique Hotel (1400 m2) is envisaged on top of an existing commercial strip composed of 6 stores. The upper floors of the hotel have outstanding views over the Citadel. The site offers the opportunity to build a unique boutique hotel.
Our Solution
The proposed solution takes full advantage of the site potentials and integrates them in the project. It consists of partially converting the existing building to serve the Facility creating a GF lobby with adjacent Breakfast, 9 suite bedroom duplexes with reception on the 1st floor, as well as all the related services in the basements. The duplex system is intentionally adopted to overcome the height limitations imposed by the building code and to give the suites more height that clears more views and optimizes natural light and ventilation, while preserving their privacy. This is achieved through playful shifts in the vertical elements mixed with the windows.
